I cannot keep quiet about what I see going on around me in the US today. It's not a political post in the sense of big government vs. small government, budget or anything like that. It's the fact that I am seeing such insane cruelty today in the US of all places, who used to be a champion of liberty and equality.
Governor Abbot in Texas has perpetuated unconscionable horrors on the border with Mexico. He put up a lethal barrier in the Rio Grande River to keep migrants from setting foot on Texas soil. Instead, they get cut up or PUSHED back into the water by the Border Patrol. People have been severely injured and a child was drowned due to these border control tactics. Can you imagine your child being forcibly drowned in front of your very eyes? Add this to DeSantis trafficking immigrants to other parts of the country under false pretenses, I think the US might be in some karmic trouble, as well as with the international courts.
Why do you think these people come here and risk everything, including their lives? Obviously, life in their own countries is so horrible that they are will to take the chance for a better life for their families. And before you tell me that they should enter legally, there is simply no reason to treat people in this horrific manner. These are human beings, prick them and they bleed, they cry, they love their children and they want a better life. JUST LIKE YOU.
When did we loose our humanity? Did we ever, in fact have any? Why is there a cruel movement in this country to be as inhumane as possible to those who are not white and Christian? Is this what Jesus taught? Please don't disgrace yourselves by saying you are doing this in the name of Christianity, because it's the most unchristian thing I've seen yet. "I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me." That's what Jesus taught.

And while this country wallows in these atrocities, our planet burns. Still, the oil companies rape and plunder our planet, the deluge of plastic garbage continues, the atmosphere is poisoned daily, species face extinction daily and sorry to say, we have already passed the tipping point of no return. You will be dead long before we are able to sustain ourselves on another planet.
And yet, our leaders and lawmakers declare war on "woke" (Whatever that is. I feel it means being aware of the plight of those who are downtrodden by the Christian Nationalists and Neo-Nazis). They declare war on a Barbie movie (Warner Bros. thanks you for the free publicity I'm sure). War on a Country song. Mr. Potato Head. And other such stupidity. No, you are not distracting me from the real issues.
Find your humanity, people. We live a very privileged life here in the US. Well, many of us anyway. We don't treat some of our own citizens much better. The human race will never survive if it keeps trying to destroy itself from within. See the picture below and imagine your own child having to endure this.

Is this the land of the free and the home of the brave? Or as it says on our much revered Statue of Liberty:
“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” 5
The rest of you, take your inhumanity somewhere else. Stop sitting in church like a hypocrite while committing these atrocities. Stop thinking you are better than people with brown skin, or with a different sexual orientation. You aren't really. We all die anyway, and you will have to face your karma at some point.
It's really hard as an empath and healer to have to watch all that goes on in this country. We are all connected. What we do to the one, we do to the all. Please wake up.
